Raise the Bar of Discipleship
Most Christians don’t know what the target of discipleship is in their church. A recent Barna study found:
- Most Christians equate spiritual maturity with following a set of rules. They equate spiritual maturity as trying hard to follow the rules described in the Bible.
- Most churchgoers are not clear what their church expects in terms of spiritual maturity. The did not know what the definition of a healthy spiritually mature follower of Jesus would be.
- Most pastors think lack of spiritual maturity is a significant problem facing the church in America.
The R12 Church campaign addresses this need. Romans 12 provides a target of an authentic disciple. What does a church look like that is filled with R-12 Christians?
- Surrendered to God 12:1
- Separate from the world 12:2
- Sober in self-assessment 12:3-8
- Supernaturally responding to evil with good 12:14-21
Join us as we follow a pathway to become like Jesus. It starts March 16 and runs till Easter. Lets raise the bar in our lives.
